She was not the type to get nervous, not unless Faith was involved. It would take more than both her hands and her feet to count the number of times that she had disrobed and walked around the apartment naked in front of Faith. Frankie had no problem being nude, it just felt natural to her, but it felt different now; everything felt different. Her heart began to beat faster as she turned the water on and waited for it to warm, just like it usually did when she was about to perform some high-risk activity. Wasn't this high-risk? To finally have Faith all to herself? She thought that the worry of losing her would go away, that all of a sudden he worst fears would be washed away, but she had been very wrong. Frankie removed her underwear and stepped into the shower. Instantly, the warm water pounded against her skin and released some of the tension she had been carrying in her shoulders. Frankie scrubbed her skin until it was a soft pink color; she even took the time to wash her hair. As she cut off the water and reached for her towel, she called out, "I can't wait to have some of mac 'n' cheese." She really wasn't kidding about being hungry.
Oh. Okay. Faith had wanted Frankie to go wash the scent of plane off, yes, but she had not really expected the other woman to just start stripping. Then again, she had no idea why she expected her to behave any differently now than she always had. How many times had she seen Frankie just strut around the apartment wearing nothing for no reason other than she felt like it? Too many to count. Only it was different now. Faith felt like it was a lot different because her throat was doing something different and it was probably physically impossible to tear her eyes away. “Okay, it’ll be ready soon.” Faith was chewing on one of her nails without even realizing it as she watched Frankie make her way to the bathroom. She let out a long sigh when the other were was finally in the bathroom and out of sight, biting at her knuckles before she focused on making the dinner she had promised. She is going to kill me. Because all that Faith wanted to do right then was forget about the dinner and go into the bathroom, it was practically like she was being tugged in that direction by an unseen force.
Yet somehow, by a miracle probably, Faith managed to stay in the kitchen and get everything done. She had just plucked the hot dogs out of the water when she heard the shower turn off. If there is really a god and he can hear me then Frankie will walk out of that bathroom in clothes and not just a towel or nothing at all because I don’t know what I’ll do if she doesn’t. Her skin was humming and all that she could think about was how Frankie’s mouth had tasted when she kissed her in the parking lot, the way that her body had felt when she - “Damnit!” Faith yelped when she was startled out of her thoughts by a sudden burning in her fingers. Her hand had slipped into the still scalding water and she was left sucking on her fingers while she looked over towards the bathroom. “Yep, it’s ready!” she called back, voice a little slurred around her fingers.
