What happened to me?! Who: Lotti, Jo, August, (and Open to all Summers/Pack members!) and later, Venus and Julian When: early afternoon, around 2:30pm Where: Summers' residence
Sunday mornings meant a few things for one of the youngest members of the pack. It meant that she helped her mother make breakfast and ensured that everyone who was around to eat it did so -- Lotti was taking after her mother in that respect. After that she usually sat around with whoever would sit still long enough for her to chat their ear off. Lotti could talk, and she liked to think that she definitely had enough optimism to perk up anybody's day -- in her mind, there was almost no way you could be unhappy after a while of being around her. Her gift had everything to do with her ability to see the bright side in every situation. The bombing of the bridge in Ann Arbor? Piece of cake -- everyone in the pack had come out of it alive, and that was something to be grateful for. Even the strange dream she'd had the night prior had its merits, though Lotti couldn't immediately figure out what they were. She'd dreamed of a dark-haired woman with a son, and something about the dream made the werewolf extra curious when it came to figuring out what it meant. The woman's face wasn't necessarily familiar, but Lotti felt like she needed to meet her all the same. Was that odd? Lotti didn't think so -- everything was as it should be. No, this Sunday morning was pretty much business as usual.
Until Lotti shifted to go for a run with Jo in the woods.
That moment right before she should have taken her white wolf form had felt very strange -- it had felt wrong somehow, and that had scared Lotti. A lot. Once the shift was complete, it was a whole other story. The first thing she noticed was that her body felt different -- even the pressure of her paws against the ground was wrong! Looking down, she caught sight of white paws with blackish-grey leopard spots. She gave a startled cry, but instead of the normal yap she would have uttered, a strange guttural cat sound came out. Shifting immediately back, Lotti started screaming, bringing her hands up to look at them as if they were alien. Once the initial shock was gone, Lotti looked over at Jo and felt tears tumble down her cheeks. "What happened to me?!"
Really, there was very little way for Lotti to feel optimistic about becoming a cat overnight.
