Ash had been to Michigan a time or two in the past, and while there were a few lovely drives, 75 to 94 sure as hell wasn't one of them. Even worse had been the night drive through Indiana. Very dull stuff. When his phone beeped, preceded by Maya's lovely no-nonsense voice, Ash grabbed his phone off the dash and responded in kind. "Copy that, Kitten." He wondered how things were going in the van. Every now and again he'd get in position where he could see through the few windows, and it didn't appear that anyone had killed Boo yet. The little critter appeared to be getting into position now, though. For shits and grins, and because he thought it might annoy Maya a little, Ash changed lanes and accelerated to pass her. As they passed he glimpsed into the van, Ash flashed a grin in their direction, and also noticed an airborne kitty. Perhaps Teddy had electrocuted him after all.
He tossed his phone back onto the dash, and took a glimpse in the rear-view mirror to see what was going on in the backseats. Rafiki had been a little quiet recently, and now that he thought about it, so had Ice. That could almost never mean something good. "Almost there," he said. "Who do you reckon'll be happiest to get out of the van, Boo or Teddy?"
