BJ really wasn't the sort of girl who cried a lot, but the situation seemed to warrant it. Fire was such a huge part of who she was, that the idea of it not being there... she had never been so scared in her life. And it felt like it should have been there. Everything felt the same!
An expert? Had she heard that right? BJ whirled to face Ryan and stared at him for a moment, but the suggestion did make something click in her brain. It took a moment to figure it out, and then her hopes soared desperately. "FIRE!" she blurted out. Ryan was a master! He should be able to tell! "Fire still recognizes me, doesn't it?" And God help the world if Ryan said no. Then she really would lose it. Possibly start setting things on fire the long way to try and get back in fire's good graces. Yeah, that didn't seem like the worst idea ever.
