Hook, line and sinker this girl is caught. Getting someone drawn in was really like going fishing, only easier because you knew they were there before they took the bait. Daniel liked to take that name that the Jesus who was so highly touted in the Bible had taken, fisher of men, because he was one. And he thought that he caught them a whole lot better. He caught the ones that Jesus would have wanted and twisted their poor little souls. They hardly even know. Ah well, better for me. "So what're you, Daisy, a female Robin Hood? Steal from the rich, keep for the poor me." There was still that teasing lilt to his voice, but the words were a little more edge and Daniel knew it. Once he realized that he pretty much had the people under his version of a thrall - though that word should really just apply to the sirens and all their abilities - he lost a bit of the charmed edge and let his natural one slip back. Which meant that no matter who it was or what he intended on doing, he was going to introduce a mocking element. Anyone who fell into his dependence so easily deserved to be mocked. Was asking for it. Daisy might as well be screaming for it.
Swallowing the last part of his own sandwich, which he had enjoyed immensely and he had to hand it to Daisy that she sure knew how to make something right, Daniel pushed the plate aside as he stood and walked over to stand next to her chair. Then he crouched down and reached out to take her hands, pulling them down into her lap so he did not have to keep his arms stretched up. No reason to strain his muscles for this. "Daisy, Daisy, Daisy." Saying someone's name enough times seemed to help make them focus in on you. Not that Daisy was focusing anywhere else. No, he had her attention and he was damn well going to keep it until he pushed her out the front door and told her to have a great day. "I'm sure that you're actually a very good person, way down inside." Doubt it. "You've just never had the right circumstances and right now, with a boyfriend who makes you steal for him?" Daniel shook his head slowly, rubbing the backs of her hands with his thumbs. "That's just not right. Look at how you're crying! You know it's not right too. You're far too good for someone like that. That's why you stayed here with me." He released one hand and reached up to touch her cheek with a smile that he knew would have that sad edge. People reacted so well when they thought you were even the slightest bit sad for them. Really he just wanted to keep touching her and pouring that doubled-up power in. "Right Daisy? You want to be a good person, you just can't because of this person who keeps making you do these awful things." Now he nodded his head slowly. "You could be so much better if you just listened to the right man."
