Yesterday had been interesting both for the vandalism that Daniel had needed to repair and then also because Briony had decided to fly by and say hello. Or had they even said hello? No, that was not the point, the point was that Briony had come by and they had discussed a variety of things that included excess, a trip to hell and what tools to use in the eventual destruction of her family. She had rather seemed to like the hammer and chisel combination if he remembered correctly, and the idea of using it to break her sister's arm open. Daniel wanted to see that. It was the sort of thing that he thought would be absolutely fantastic if it was done somewhere that he could witness it. It was just too - Daniel's head jerked up at the sound of a door slamming somewhere above him. Ah, he had been wondering when that would happen. There had been a niggling feeling in the back of his head throughout the remnants of last night and the parts of this morning he had been awake for that said someone was going to come 'visit' today. Someone that was not a member of his congregation nor there to do any sort of worship. There had been very vague images of a face that he was sure belonged to a woman, but nothing all that certain past the fact that she was blonde. A blonde woman coming into the church for reasons that would not be approved of by his church-goers.
Daniel grinned as he stretched out and pulled on a dark muscle shirt and headed for the stairs. Jeans were added halfway there, his personal living space was only straightened up when he intended on having company who needed to think him the proper, thorough pastor, and then socks. But no shoes and his hair was going to stay just that slightest messed up. Let this woman see how bad of an idea it was to break into a church where the pastor happened to live in the basement. Even worse luck for her was that this particular pastor happened to be a demon. And really, what were the odds of that? Insanely slim since Daniel had never met another demon who was doing was he did. He liked it that way, yes, but it only went to show how bad of luck a person must have to come across him in any way dealing with the church or religion.
He heard the woman apologize, supposedly to god, as she lifted money out of the box. Unfortunately for her the stairs came out behind the door next to it so when Daniel opened it he got a clear look at her right away. Just the clothes I'd wear if I was ever going to rob a church, yep. Nice and not church appropriate by any definition of the word. His favorite sort of thing to see on a female. God had he ever hated those days of long dresses and bonnets and covering the ankles and wrists... "Don't worry, I'll forgive you since you're not going to be taking that anywhere at all." His grin had grown as he crossed his arms and leaned against the doorframe, not at all worried that she was going to bolt back out the door. He had no plans for today so he saw no reason at all to not let his power flow full-force right at her. Whoever she was. "Now sweetheart, why don't you tell me what made you think it was a good idea to go ahead and try lifting that money out, hmmm? That's my living right there and if you try to take any of it I'd just starve." Really, he should remember to empty it out, but he liked the way it felt to unlock it and reach in whenever he was going out. Like his own personal piggy bank that other people filled for him. And like any other person - child - with a piggy bank, he did not take kindly to people trying to take it away from him.
