Bandit could have made himself a clean getaway outside if only Daisy had not heard him. But of course she just had to hear him which meant that he had to stop and acknowledge him. He was just glad that she had not gone ahead and scooped him up. Yet. There always had to be that 'yet' attached when talking about Daisy. 'Yeah they're a lot of fun. I like the little hammer.' What he did not share with Daisy was the image he had of himself using said little hammer on her instead of on the colorful little blocks that it was meant for. 'That'd be great.' And he was saved from having to say anything else or being forced into playing with the toys for Daisy's amusement by the timely call of Joseph. No matter how cute Bandit was or what activities he engaged in, Joseph always trumped him. The raccoon was completely okay with that.
Joseph was too busy with what he was doing to pay attention to how Daisy got down the stairs. He had only just been able to be bothered with noticing that her leg was better than it had been before. Quicker than it should have been too, but how that happened... well that was anyone's guess. He could have always asked, but that would have meant paying attention for long enough to form the question and he really, really did not feel like doing that today. So instead he just cast a quick glance over her outfit. He hardly had to wait a minute before what he had called her for got brought up without him actually needing to say anything. See, she was so well-tuned by now that he hardly even needed to put effort into it. "Spaghetti is fine," he called back without glancing towards the kitchen. Daisy knew how to cook better than him and he did not need to supervise her while she did such. He was busy here. Putting the finishing touches on this ID he was wondering how many he needed to make, and if Daisy needed a new one, when she turned her attention back to him. And here he had thought that having her cook dinner would have kept her occupied and the house still quiet. Apparently not. "Oh?" Friends. Friends were that thing that Joseph knew about, but he did not actually have any of his own. Why would he? Each town was only a temporary stay for however long it could be worked and then it was time to leave. Friends did not go well with that. As if that were not enough, Joseph just did not do friends. They required some degree of caring or normal social conduct and he was very much incapable of both of those things. "Anyone particularly interesting?" Because she seemed to think that he was going to pretend to give even so much as a damn. May as well play along with her for a bit.
