I want to turn it around for you
Who: Brendan and Fable
Where: Fable's house
When: Afternoon
Bad weather was, at times, hard for Fable to handle. She needed to be outside, in the sunshine, and having had just that for the last few days, she'd been a happy girl. Once winter hit, she'd be screwed, and until then she wanted to enjoy as much of summer as she possibly could. Though yes, she'd heard that the weather was completely different outside of Scarlet Oak, she didn't want to bundle up Ainsley and take her out. Her little girl had a hard enough time with trying to understand that just because it was raining outside, it didn't mean that she could shift and play in all the puddles. Instead Fable busied herself with all the chores she hadn't had time to get to over the weekend, straightening up the house and making sure that Ziggy had everything he needed. She had no doubt that, had it been the weekend, her brother would have been curled up in blankets bitching about the rain. That was why he was a fire, and she was an earth, and she honestly didn't mind having him around. It made her feel less homesick, in a way, even when she knew her family, as a whole, would not take her back.
She was making herself a life here. A life for herself, and for her daughter. Tim would have wanted that.
Still, she wasn't quite in the mood to be by herself, so she texted Brendan, to see what he might be up to. Her mother-in-law was constantly telling her that she needed to get out more, make some friends, and Fable honestly was trying. Most people her age didn't have a kid in tow, much less one she was raising by herself, still concerned with partying or going out every night or whatever. Fable had never been one of those girls. She was just happy Brendan seemed to like the idea of the greenhouse as much as she herself did. It would do her good to get her fingers in the dirt, to make something grow. She had just gotten Ainsley down for her afternoon nap when she heard the knock at the door, and she stuck the baby monitor into her pocket as she made her way to the door. "Long time no see!" she said, smiling as she opened the door to see the man standing behind it. "Come in! Just keep your voice down, the princess is sleeping upstairs."
