Daisy wasn't even sure what had brought her outside today. By all means, considering the weather, she should have stayed tucked away inside, where Joseph couldn't lock her out if he felt she was too wet to come in and be around him. It was one of those days when she felt like wandering. The streets of Scarlet Oak still needed to be explored and a little bit -- okay, a LOT of rain -- wasn't going to keep her tucked away in her room. Who knew? She might just meet someone interesting, like she had when she had gone out for flowers. There was something about Lida that drew Daisy to her. She couldn't decide if it was how kind she had been each time they had run into each other, or if it was the calm, powerful manner with which she carried herself; she was fascinated with her, like little girls often were when they met someone older that they wanted to imitate. The next time the two of them bumped into each other, Daisy was going to have to remember to get Lida's phone number, so she had a way to contact her.
She was positively skipping down the street, all too delighted to not have to depend on crutches to get around. They had been fun -- swinging on them around the room would never get old -- but she was beyond thrilled to be able to move without having to worry about tripping over herself. Daisy had originally stopped in the middle of the street to look into a shop window at something shiny that had caught her eye. What it was exactly, she honestly couldn't remember, because her attention was stolen by the way her skirt moved around her when she turned suddenly. Was Daisy too self-conscious to twirl in the middle of public for her own amusement? No, absolutely not. She had just finished a third rotation when someone slipped up beside her. It took Daisy a moment or two to focus, but she greeted the other blonde with a wide grin. "Why thank you!" She ran a hand down her outfit, infinitely proud. It wasn't everyday that someone stopped her to compliment the clothes that she wore. "This?" Daisy looked down, trying to figure out where she had gotten each piece. It was hard to remember what she had bought or stole and from where. "The mall I think, I can't remember." There was a laugh in her voice as she spoke. She looked up and down the other woman's clothes. "Your outfit looks great too. Those shorts are amazing."
