Orion stood there watching, the corner of his mouth quirking in a smile once the man started laughing. He listened to what was said, glancing up when he heard the gull squawk. He looked back at the man when he started speaking again and was a little startled when the gull landed on a lamp post and started yelling. Orion's eyebrows shot up and a startled laugh came out before he could stop himself, taking a half-step back away from the perturbed seagull. "Phew, seems he's got a mouth on him! Or would that be a beak?" Still, the brushes at the edge of Orion's consciousness said that there were elements of his virtue to be applied here. "Forgive me for assuming, but I had heard that some familiars could be a bit--" Orion glanced up and smiled at the bird apologetically "--over zealous? Opinionated?"
Reaching up to brush the back of his neck, Orion shifted his weight a little bit. "He doesn't bite, does he? I don't really fancy being beak beat by a bird brain." Okay, so maybe that was not the nicest thing to say to an animal that he had just met, but it was still funny, and Orion could very rarely refuse that. "I'm Orion, by the way. Eavesdropper extraordinaire, and recent proud founder of a new family practice in town. If you seagull ever assaults you bodily, we can patch you up."
