Quentin hadn't realized someone else was coming towards him and if Willie noticed, he wasn't saying anything. Figured, his familiar was too focused on making sure Quentin was paying attention to him rather than everything else around them. Weren't familiars supposed to help protect you or some shit? Whatever, it wasn't like Quentin had asked for any of this, his elementalism or his psychic abilities. He'd just as soon be rid of both of them - Hey, I can hear you, Willie was quick to point out - and be happier for it. All it had ever brought him was bad, bad, and more bad, except for being able to save Calista from drowning.
Hearing the guy ask if Willie was bothering him? Quentin couldn't help it, he paused and started laughing, even while he could hear Willie getting all defensive in his head. "Oh, he's a huge pain in the ass, are you kidding?" The squawk Willie gave said what the seagull thought about that. "Nothing for you to worry about though, I suppose I'm stuck with him-"
STUCK?!? Speak for yourself, douchebag! WIllie landed on a nearby lamp post, fluttering his wings. You're not exactly Captain Awesome over there, so I'd shut your mouth if I were you! Honestly, Willie needed to take his own advice.
