Even if Briony hadn't said that she'd spent time in some sort of orphanage sort of thing then Persephone'd have been able to guess when she said she'd give those carnations to her mommy. A demon mommy wouldn't take that well and could actually do something about it. A human mommy would just be missing her face and life by the time it was over. "Yep it'd be swell. Further you push it the better it gets." Too much was never even enough by Persephone's standards. Hello, she was Excess. "Hmm, well that's interesting." Demons weren't really creatures who felt fear, but that's what the prickles she was feeling were. It wasn't even a direct fear, but it was there and it was all because of this one particular little girl. Persephone kinda wanted to shrink her to charm size and carry her around everywhere so that she could flash her at people and go 'boo!'. "Yeah well, that's because of you, not because there's anything around here that I'm afraid of. But no, that doesn't count, it's just natural to be irritated by the opposition. I ever come across Moderation and I'm going to kill it via Excess, you just see." Moderation was the most ridiculous thing she'd ever heard of! At least curiosity served a purpose, but what good did moderation ever do a single person? None in this demon's eyes. "Your power's more fun than mine." Persephone didn't like that even if she was a kid. What good was seeing dead people? None, it was annoying. The girls got to have more fun raising the dead than Persephone did seeing their spirits wail their way around the place. "I'm blood, through and through. Can do some fun stuff with Legionarie blood, but mine's way better. Yours could be fun." There was a thought; what could she do with the blood of the demon of Fear?
"So when the Kobal's come sniffing around find a way to rope one into playing doggy for you for awhile. They're just Legionaries, they're practically made for our entertainment." And to be a pain for the mortals and angels, but hey, that could happen easy when you put one with a demon. Seriously though, that eye changing color thing, that was neat. Even if Persephone didn't want it because that was a tell way too obvious for her tastes. "You actually go to church?" That was actual disbelief in her tone because oh hell no. Demons didn't do church. Demons tormented the faithful and made their lives into a twisted, living hell because it was better than screwing with the non-righteous, but they didn't play alongside of them. Holy places weren't fun to be on, for one, and for two just no. It bothered Persephone enough that her great-granddaughter had been forced into the Catholic church and not even a well corrupted one, but actual demons shouldn't be setting foot there. "Fuck that, Briony, tell your family to drink the Draino next Sunday because the faithful are more fun to mess with off the holy grounds." Persephone had her few points, okay. "Nope, they just look that way. I'd be happier if they burned, but can't make our wings do what we want." Rolling her neck until it cracked, Persephone left her wings out a moment longer before she tucked them away and stretched herself back up to full height. "Annoy?" The demon laughed and started walking again. "No, no, no Briony. We don't just annoy the angels, we kill them. Which I mean, makes sense you need to be taught that one since they've only just come back. Anyone taught you how to fight yet?" Those could be a hell of a lot of fun too, especially when they expanded into brawls. Persephone loved starting, taking part in and then rising above to watch brawls that had the potential to turn into riots. They were even better if an angel or two got caught in it. Poor holy things who didn't want to hurt the 'innocents' around them. "I mean, your Vice is a good start, but unless you scare them to death..."
