Trying to apologize Who: Cole and Locke Where: Skate park When: Afternoon
Locke knew that Cole'd be at the skate park. How? Because it was a nice enough day for skateboarding and also because it was Cole. He could've just known the other guy for a week and he'd know that Cole was all about skateboarding and being where he could do it. At first Locke had thought that maybe Cole would just be the sort of guy who cared about nothing but his clothes, his jewelry, his hair... typical girl things, yeah, but it was Cole. That explained everything. From his hair to the clothes that had gotten him in a fight yesterday (oh yeah, Locke knew about that and the subsequent trip to the counselor and principal) to that temper of his that was currently keeping them apart. Or was it the part where Locke had a girlfriend and hadn't told him about it?
It was probably that last one.
Still! Locke had to talk to him and since going to his house didn't work any better than catching him in the hall or after class... he'd decided that the skate park was his best bet. He might have to toss himself in the way of Cole when he went zooming by and suffer some damage to the ribs, and his ego, but he'd heal. Physical wounds went away a lot faster than the emotional ones and he hadn't meant to hurt Cole. Or piss him off. Usually it took at least three weeks before Cole got himself into that level of trouble. Locke felt awful about how everything had played out, no one was happy with him including himself, and he needed to make it right. To make it right he just needed to get Cole somewhere to talk. So this made sense. It really did. It's not weird, it's a good idea and it'll help everyone. If Cole felt better then Bunny wouldn't have to know why he was upset or things were weird, Cole'd stop getting into these altercations (kind of) and Locke would feel better which would mean that he wouldn't feel guilty when he was spending time with Angeline. Running a hand through his hair, Locke sighed and locked his bike up. Then he started looking for the really bright and obvious flash of blue.
