It had been a sleepless night and a blur of a day. The way Lux's heart was beating today got in the way of everything else, and the more she tried to stop worrying, to forget about the full moon, the worse she got. It got to the point where she had to put a pill under her tongue just to relax enough to stop trembling, and that was all even before the afternoon was well on its into the evening.
The saving grace in all of this had been Troy; tireless, supportive and a little crazy, if you asked her. No sane person should play host to a crazy bitten were, however good their intentions were. But Lux was thankful, very much so, nonetheless. He had cooked her dinner, he had made sure her cage was all set and not about to give in when she inevitable banged up against it over and over, and now he was giving her a little bit of a pep talk along with a shoulder massage. Closing her eyes, Lux took a deep breath. "I do trust you, it's me I don't trust." She told him, shaking her head when he was the one to guarantee her safety. "Yeah, I'm worried about the other way around." She confessed. But Lux knew she had no choice now, the full moon was coming and she had no other option but to stay here, in Troy's apartment.
The massage was feeling good, but it wasn't relaxing her all that much. At best she was enjoying having Troy close to her, but every muscle in her body was as tensed up as it had been before. She was even setting her teeth without noticing - until she did it so hard she hurt herself. Lux ran a nervous hand through her hair. "You should leave, you know. You shouldn't be here just in case. At least that way if something happens I won't get to you."
