And today was a day just like any other Who: Adam and Lizzy - and open to anyone else who might be taking his class! Where: UoM campus When: Early afternoon
Though Adam knew that there was a lot going on tonight, with the full moon and all, for him, it was business as usual. And that meant classes at the university and maybe getting to see Telyn when he got home. Yes, he was still thrilled with the idea of having a girlfriend, and Telyn was always welcome to come over whenever she wanted. The fact that she was even feeling comfortable spending the night with him said volumes, and any other guy would have been proud of that. Adam was just happy. Hell, even his cat got along with Telyn's familiar, so maybe they were onto something here. Only time would tell on that matter.
Today, though, was his first freshman English class. Though he'd been hired to teach creative writing, a subject he was beyond familiar with, he did have some of the basics as well, and Adam worried more about these classes than any of his others. Would the students be engaged? Shit, would they even pay attention? He'd even called his dad, a former English professor, to ask for his advice. His dad had only chuckled and said, "You'll figure it out. Just go slow." Slow wasn't an issue with Adam, getting too wound up talking about a subject he knew a lot about was. He was nervous, and excited, and a little anxious to see how it would all go.
When he got to the classroom, it didn't even occur to him that he looked more like one of his students, stack of books in his arms. There was a long table in the front of the room, so he set his books down on that, looking over the students were currently milling about and chatting with one another. Well, at least it looked like everyone showed up, or close to it. It took him a minute to find where exactly he'd stashed the copies he'd made of the syllabus, and then, rather than sitting at the desk, he sat on top of it instead, feet hanging down, not touching the floor. "Could you all take your seats?" he called over the room, and he watched as heads snapped up and looked in his direction. "I'd like to get started right away, if we could."
