It was easy to feel Lux relax in his arms, and Troy was glad that the sigh she uttered was one of relief. The tears on her face were not something that Troy wanted to see, but he could understand that she was pretty emotionally charged at the moment. He smiled softly, bringing his hands up to smooth the tears off her face. He kept his hands there, holding her face gently. "You sort of withdrew from the world there, for a while." Troy did not want to upset her, now that she'd been honest with him, but he had noticed. "At first I thought it was just because you didn't know how to deal with the attack, but I understand better now." If Troy had changed so drastically like that, he was sure that he would want to shut the world out, too. "It also explains why you wouldn't tell me why biting me made you freak out." If Troy was anything, than it was observant, especially when Lux was concerned. "I'm just glad that you felt like you could tell me. It really means a lot." His thumbs smoothed over her face, the smile on his face still soft, but slightly more bright.
There were a lot of things that Troy could accept in life. But it was something altogether to realize that Lux could have told him so many different things and he would not have changed his mind, not even a little bit. Lux was still very much the woman he loved, and he even felt a deeper connection to that, now that she had been honest. It felt like a weight had been lifted off of them both, seeing as the air was much clearer between them. That Lux was able to chuckle at his little joke, Troy was quite happy. And then it almost felt as though the air was pushed from his lungs in the force of the embrace that Lux wrapped him up in. He made a small "oof" sound, the shock turning into a surprised laugh. God, but she was strong. It made so much sense, seeing as she was able to toss him around so easily, earlier. That? Was not an unpleasant thought of course, but it was one that Troy wanted to save for later. "I didn't mean to," he murmured, his hands moving to wrap up around her back, his face nuzzling into her hair. "I just wanted to make sure I said what I felt." Moving his face in closer, Troy's lips found her cheek, planting a soft kiss there. "You're the most wonderful person I know." Especially now that Troy knew that she had gone through so much more than just an attack in the woods by a cougar. No, Lux's spirit seemed so much brighter to him now, so much so that he needed to share that with her. Nuzzling in closer, Troy kissed her, the touch of his lips gentle against hers.
