Lux had never noticed how wonderful it felt to have Troy's arms around her like that. It was like he channeled peace into her now. She was beginning to think that having to let go in any way was not going to be something she'd be willing to do. So, when he pulled her close again after she had told him about her "condition", Lux, who had been on edge waiting for his reaction, sighed in relief. At his kiss on her forehead she shed a few tears - not because she was particularly sad or particularly happy, but because she needed to discharge all the stress that had gathered between her revelation and his reaction to it. Troy said it explained a lot, and Lux raised her eyebrows questioningly. "It does?" He was probably referring to her reaction of panic to having bitten his neck that one time, amongst other weird things like that.
Well, at least he had said he didn't want her to leave. For some reason, however, Lux could almost hear him say he was thinking twice on wanting to be anything but friends with her. Especially when he held a breath for a little while before he continued. She almost interrupted him when he began talking again. And there it was, surprise of the night. Troy really was as amazing as she suspected he was, apparently. Lux's eyes went wide as he reiterated what he had told her before, and then she had to chuckle lightly at his quip about claws. Immediately, though, Lux slammed against him, wrapping her arms around him tightly. He loved her, he loved her even though she was a monster. "Holy shit you scared me there for a minute." She mumbled against his shoulder. But she was laughing and everything was fine. Now all she had to do was tell her family - that would wait until after the full moon, however.
