Troy noticed the way his happy smile was practically mirrored on Lux's face and that? That made him seven different shades of happy, even if it was just an expression. It meant something to have her react that way to seeing him, and he would cherish that fact, thanks. That she hugged him back tightly was pleasant, too and Troy could feel his mood lighting up even higher than it already was. "Thank you," he smirked a little, giving Lux a wink in response to her eyebrow wiggling. "Good, I'm starving! I hope it tastes as good as it smells." As if he hadn't been sampling it the whole time he'd been making it. "Wine it is!" He reached over to grab a couple wineglasses from the cabinet, setting them down so he could uncork the bottle he had in the fridge. He poured two glasses of Pinot Grigio, reading that it was the best to pair with the dinner he'd made. Hopefully that was the case. At Lux's apology, he waved it away with his hand like it was a literal object. "Don't worry about it. I'm just glad that you're here." Moving over to hand her a glass, he lifted his in a toast. "To dinner with the most wonderful woman I know." He moved his glass to clink it against hers and took a sip, smiling.
Troy moved over to take a seat at one of the chairs at the table, setting his glass down before answering. "Not much, really. Had lunch with Naoki the other day, and had movie night over at Reggie's with him and the girls." It wasn't actually standard for Troy to be spending so much time away from his home, but he figured he was doing well when it came to socializing more. "Oh, and a new family moved in just down the street. The woman was trying to carry boxes in in the rain, so I helped her. Her name's Lida and she has two kids, she seemed nice." That there might be anything wrong with the fact that he'd helped a perfect stranger -- a female stranger at that -- didn't occur to him. Helping people was just in his nature. "How about you, how have you been?"
