I can't wait to get up in the morning Who: Julian and Kyle What: Bros being bros When: After school Where: Packlands => Town
Julian had gotten his dad to take the girls today, which was lucky as old crankypants rarely wanted to girls with him. Which was understandable, but he needed some time without the craziness of the twins crawling all over him, yanking on the stitches in his head. And while the logical answer would have been to separate them, that wasn't as simple as it seemed. There would be absurd amounts of crying and whining and tantrum-throwing. And, as usual, they would get what they wanted. Checking his pockets for his wallet and keys, he walked upstairs to see if Jordan wanted to come along into town. Naturally, Jordan wasn't home yet. He was probably running around with some friends or playing soccer and causing general mayhem. Jordan preferred the company of his friends than the other pack members. Well, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, Julian supposed. Though it would have been nice if Jordan had told someone where he'd be. He headed back downstairs and checked his pockets again. He looked outside. It was already raining. He'd put off the new cellphone until today to wait for the rain to go away but it looked like it was around to stay. Julian let out a breath and decided he couldn't wait any longer.
Driving his Jeep over to the Summers house, he wondered if anyone else was around. Trent was probably with Venus but he hoped August was here. He hadn't seen the man since the explosions and while he had ascertained from his father that everyone was all right, he still needed to talk to August. Who probably had a bone to pick with him about leaving him on the bridge. Julian scratched his cheek as the stitches in his head twinged. He should get them taken out tomorrow. They were really quite unnecessary at this point. Hopping out of the car, he rushed onto the covered porch and rang the doorbell. If August wasn't home, maybe Lotti would be around. He did owe the girl some Julian-time. If Julian remembered correctly, puppies were supposed to be involved, too. He shifted on his feet, trying to stay warm. His father would be home soon with the girls and he didn't really want to get caught still in the neighborhood or his dad would probably try to pawn the girls off on him. And he didn't want to take them out in the rain. Julian rang the doorbell again.
