Drina didn't think twice when she accepted the extended hand, giving him a firm shake in return. Being surrounded by fellow officers and agents (and by 'fellow,' the majority were definitely male), she had learned a long time ago the impression someone could gain from the first hand shake, so she always made sure to deliver a strong hand shake that left no doubt that she was more than just a woman. "Nice to meet you. My name is Drina Perez." The smells were still throwing her off, but there was a soft urging in the back of her mind that told her that this was a safe place. She wondered if she was just being paranoid with the way the scent of sulfur had filled her nostrils. Of course, she was; what harm could come from a church? When the little girl stepped out from behind the pastor, Drina could not avoid looking at her. She was positively precious, especially the way that she held her hands behind her back and appeared shy. Drina offered her a sweet smile, as if to promise that she wouldn't do anything to harm the little girl. "Hello, Briony. It's very nice to meet you too." She even offered the little girl a wave. There was no denying that if she had actually given birth, Drina would have been a loving mother.
"I hope you don't mind my joining for the evening's service," her attention returned to Daniel. "I'm in the process of finding a church that... feels right." Was that rude to share with a pastor? She assumed he would encourage her to become a member of Amazing Grace, but she what she was looking for was more than just pretty words and hard pews. Though to be perfectly honest, what Drina was looking for, it was doubtful that she would ever find it in a church. She wanted to be somewhere where she could feel fully human again; where she could try to forget the life that had been ripped away from her. It scared her a little at how comfortable she was starting to get with the fact that she was a werewolf. She could handle the days when she was still human and even the shifting at will (which really, she had not done often at all), but those blinded nights of rage -- the ones she couldn't remember clearly -- were what scared her the most. And she was trying to carry on her life with that beast inside of her? Some days were worse than others and for those days, Drina needed something in her life, something to help keep her sane.
