I'll follow you if you follow me Who: Naoki and Troy, with Snowball (NPC'd) Where: Red Dragon Dojo // random cafe When: After noon, lunch time!
Now that Troy's routine was back in full swing, he found it was easier to focus on the little things. Being grounded as he was in having a schedule, thanks in no small part with how closely he was tied to the Earth, it was a relief to get back to what he gotten comfortable with -- with a few exceptions. He'd promised his sister, and Moriko, for that matter, that he would go out more, and who better to go with than his best friend? He'd sent Naoki an email about meeting him at his dojo for lunch and had been thrilled when his friend had had a free schedule. Or, free enough to allow for some much needed catching up time. As Troy understood it (it was televised enough) Naoki's wife had been injured in the march bombing, and so he figured the white witch would have been kept busy for the days immediately following. But still -- there was only so much time he could spend with that woman before Troy would swoop in for the rescue. Daily, the elemental considered different avenues that Naoki could take in freeing himself from the vampire-dragon lady he was living with. Just the thought of Liliya Kennedy had Troy's blood beginning to boil, so he busied himself with something that always helped him relax. Other might find the accounting side of owning a business boring or even troublesome, but Troy rather liked playing around with the figures, small though they were at times. He and his sister made out pretty well, and it was reassuring to get to do the math. They weren't rich by any means, but they could afford to live relatively comfortably, and that was generally all the earth elemental cared about, in terms of making ends meet.
The unmistakeable sound of the door opening, announced as it was by the bell Troy had put up, brought a smile to his lips. He got up from his chair, moving out of his office and towards the front door of his dojo to see that sure enough, Naoki was here. Troy couldn't help it, he moved over to his friend to give him a hug, patting him on the back a little. He knew Naoki hadn't been at the march, but it was still nice to see that he was all in one piece, given who his wife was. No matter what his friend said, Troy didn't trust her as far as he could throw her. Pulling out of the hug, Troy moved to where he could sign easily. 'How are you?' He smiled brightly, glad that he had taken the time to learn American Sign Language if only to put Naoki at ease. 'Are you ready for lunch? I'm starving.'
