They'd signed up for the tough stuff when they chose these fields. Granted, she never expected something like this to crop up in her backyard, but Telyn had to believe that she could handle it. It might take time and it might seem haunting now, but deep down, she knew it was something she could deal with. She had the support structure for it, after all. Her fingers moved through her curls and got stuck in tangles. Another glorious perk of her job. She was going to need to shower if she was going to see Adam tonight.
"The girl okay?" she asked, pulling her hair into a ponytail to keep it off her face. Once again, she was grateful she was okay, her family was okay and that Adam hadn't been anywhere near the march when all this went down. If something had happened to him... It wasn't a thought she was keen on entertaining. "I'm not a doctor or anything, but you probably shouldn't be standing on that." She held up both hands, not wanting to step on any toes or act like she knew better than him. "Just had to get that out there. Got family in medicine and they would be ashamed of me for not saying something," she continued, offering him a tired smile.
