Even at Lux's reassuring, Troy was not completely convinced. Was he just supposed to believe her, and let it drop? He felt like that wasn't the right thing to do, but he knew Lux enough to know when she wasn't going to talk. He was sure that this was one of those times, but it was still hard for him to look past all the signs in her body language. He kissed her a little more gently, shuddering again when her nails made their way up his back. The pleading note in Lux's voice had Troy pulling away to study her face, his eyes searching for any sign that she was just telling him what she thought he wanted to hear. "If you're sure." Troy still wasn't, and his face reflected it, but he could see that this was a conversation best had later -- if Lux would even talk about what had happened. Troy still didn't understand what had actually happened, either. He'd have to remember to at least try to talk to her, even if she shot his efforts down again.
Troy couldn't possibly fathom whether or not Lux was still bent on believing that this would only end one way -- with him hurt. Even if he could, it wouldn't change the fact that he would see this through to whatever it turned out to be. He was nothing but hopeful over the fact that maybe one day, Lux might see him as something more than one of her best friends whom she happened to find sexy. He wanted that more than nearly anything in the world, and it was that notion that undid his resolve. He wanted Lux, and he would be whatever it was she needed. If it was just sex right now, Troy could do that. For now. "I'll let you off the hook this once," he murmured, a soft smile coming to his lips. He bent his head so his mouth found Lux's, kissing her firmly before his mouth moved over her skin to her neck, teasing and nibbling. Was it okay if he did that, or was biting something that Lux didn't like? He thought he'd done it before, but now he wasn't so sure. His hands roamed over her skin until he'd grasped her hips, angling them up slightly to meet his thrusts. Troy fell back to that slow, steady rhythm, wondering how long he could keep it up before he -- and Lux -- couldn't take it anymore.
