Oh. Oh. Some strange breed of excitement and shy energy rolled up in Troy and he actually shuffled his feet, his gaze finding his sneakers as his bit his lip. Something about the way Lux laughed at him was like someone had run their fingertip over Troy's spine and he laughed along with her. "You...Well..." Damn it. Troy was still pretty flustered, and the thoughts he kept having were not helping. "Seems I'm the one who's tongue-tied, now." Because really, how in the world had they gone from two days ago to this? Really, Troy was at a loss, and it seemed like Lux was, too. They were at a stalemate, neither one bridging that last little space between them. Troy did not want that, no. But what was supposed to do?
That was it, Lux was trying to kill him again. Troy's eyes found her mouth, his own lips parting a little in response to the very sexual, very teasing thing that she did. And then she was talking about apples, and it was all Troy could do to tear his gaze away, down to the bag she had on the floor. "Apples." He clutched onto that idea, using it as a lifeline. "That's really thoughtful." A smile found its way back to his face. Thoughtful, yes. Troy focused on that. "What kind are they?" It was sweet that Lux had remembered that he loved apples. But it did seem a little odd that she'd come all this way to bring them. Didn't it? His brow furrowed up at the thought and his hand went to back of his neck. Bringing his hand back down, he flexed his fingers before moving to start unwrapping his hands. Didn't seem to be any point to having them wrapped; he was too distracted to resume his workout even if he'd wanted to.
