Lux had gotten up extremely early this morning, even if she wasn't due to go to work until later - to work on sorting out the missing and the hospitalized, no less. They were doing shifts, and hers began this afternoon and went on well into the night. However, after the third consecutive nightmare she had decided to just quit sleeping. When it was an appropriate time to show up at anybody's house she went over to her dad's, where he was happy to see her in more-or-less good shape, they had talked, and he had given her some apples he had harvested from his apple tree in the small back garden. It was odd how, when she looked at the apples as her father put them in a bag for her, she immediately thought of Troy and how he would probably like them. He probably did have an apple a day, she wouldn't be surprised.
Finally she had a reason to go over to see him, if only to give him some apples. It was ridiculous, sure, but so was the fact that she actually missed him. She had only seen him two days ago after all! Anyway, nobody needed to know that, now that she had some apples to deliver. After leaving her dad's Lux drove straight to the Dojo, where she was sure Troy would be at this hour. Lux stood at the door and, snickering at the loud music she could hear blasting from his earbuds, made her own way in. Once inside she found Troy with his back turned punching and punching at a bag with a look of fierce concentration in his face. Lux let her bag slide down her shoulder onto the floor as she felt a shiver come down her spine along with many other things she hadn't felt in a while. Then she decided - or something within her did - that it was best not to disturb him. She could very well waste a few minutes (or hours) watching him go at it.
