If there was anyone who knew about being a wolf without a pack, it was Dominic. He might not have gotten to pick what his were form would become when he allowed Ashton to bite him, but the wolf was a part of him now and he couldn't get rid of it even if he tried. It didn't help that the two people here who he considered pack, Camilla and Keira, were at odds with each other. He was still reeling from the knowledge that Camilla had seen Keira, fought with her, and yet hadn't thought to send him so much as a text. Even if all it said was, Found your bitch, that would have meant Dominic would have been there.
If he'd been there, maybe Milla's collarbone wouldn't be broken. Maybe Keira wouldn't have slipped away again to taunt him via text. Maybe maybe maybe. His life was full of too much of that lately and Dominic absolutely could not stand it. Going back to the penthouse he shared with his twin right now was not an option. Let Milla worry about where he was for a while, he'd make it back eventually. Right now there was a bar calling his name. Several bars, actually. Going out on another bender wasn't going to find Keira and he knew it, but it was the only idea he had right now. Let Keira find him like this. And, bonus! The last bar he went to had a poker table, and he swindled one guy out of a couple hundred bucks. Dominic didn't need the money, he needed the rush of it.
Right now, even that wasn't working. He stumbled out of the bar and into the street, glancing around for where he'd left his car when the scent hit him. Not Keira's, but a wolf - and the only wolf he'd met since coming here was Nicci. That wasn't her scent either, but definitely male. Dominic looked up and tried to be more aware of his surroundings, a little hard to do when he wasn't exactly sober. Where the hell is this guy? Because simply walking away wasn't an option for him right now, and he wasn't quite sure why. The wolf in him demanded to know who else was in his territory.
