Holding onto your tail, leading you astray Who: Dalila, Jaws (NPC) and Rico Where: Home When: Afternoon
Dalila really did not know how to react to the news. She had avoided the march for the really simple reason of she did not want to go. There were going to be a ton of people there and the last thing that she wanted to do with her weekend was spend it recovering from a massive headache courtesy of morons with too many thoughts in their head that made no sense. And did people even realize that when they actually screamed it was like they were doing the same with their thoughts? Dalila did not think that they did, but it was true and she would be more than happy to tell them all about it should her being a telepath ever be a cool thing. Which would happen roughly never. Because that would mean sharing that it was the reason she was able to function like a somewhat normal mention of society since, hello, she was deaf. Ugh, no thank you, never. And it turned out that her stubbornness to stay at home had been the right choice since disaster had struck at the march. Dalila may have hated watching the news but she had still been glued to the screen along with everyone else watching in something a lot like horror as it unfolded. She had friends at that place! She had absolutely no idea which friends had even gone, not all of them. Facebook kept her pretty up to date on these things, but not everyone decided to update their status saying that they were here or there or whatever. So she was in the dark and she had been too stunned to do anything until she had woken up that morning. Then she had decided to text everyone that she knew because she needed to know what was going on.
Not everyone responded right away and that had fried her nerves. But else was she going to do? Hop in the car and go to everyone's house? No, that would take way too much effort. Instead she was going to do her best to relax in-between texts and what was the best way to relax? Blowing up her bright blue float mat and grabbing the water bottle that currently contained her sleeping familiar, she made her way down the stairs to the basement. There was a perfectly serviceable pool outside and it was even a nice day, but Dalila did not want to go out there. Instead she decided that she was going to take over her brother's tank for no reason past 'I can'. It would also keep her from getting bored. Jaws and Rico interactions were the highlight of her day.
'WHAT?!' The voice rang out in her head as Dalila stepped up on the ladder leading into the tank and upended the water bottle containing Jaws. A bright flash of gold tumbled out and splashed into the pool with what Dalila imagined would have been a little 'plop'. A few more bright flashes and suddenly there was a tiny head peeking up at her. 'Oh. My tank, wonderful! I was getting tired of being crammed all up in that bottle. You need to get me a bigger tank, Ali, put your brother in the bottle. Yeah, yeah that's how it should be. THIS IS MY TANK!' Dalila just rolled her eyes and tossed the bottle into the corner of the room before she spread her mat out and climbed on, shivering a little as the water seeped in the sides. A little shocking at first, but definitely worth it. Her element was always worth it. "Jaws, do you know that you're the size of one of my brother's bigger teeth?" The betta made a scoffing sound in her head before swimming off to do a few laps. Dalila just flipped her sunglasses down over her eyes - there was no reason to wear them inside of the house, but there was also no good reason for her to be inside - and dangled her arm down into the tank while wondering roughly how long it would take her brother to figure out that his tank had been invaded.
'How many times do I have to tell you that it's MY TANK?'
