This just wasn't right. It wasn't any sort of right. Satu didn't like being around Bella with the way that she made her feel and she definitely didn't like how okay her mom was with her. There needed to be a way to make Linnea felt what she, Dagmar and Leif had so that she wasn't all smiley at her. "Water elementals do have sort of a thing for the sound and nearness of water." That was why they had that pool. And a house near the river. And then multiple fountains throughout the entire house. No one who knew that water elementals were real could've walked into the Niemi house and not known exactly what they were. And anyone who'd been in there prior to the Light of May must've put one and one together for two.
'Not really. It's better being carried around than having to walk. Turtles aren't fast and I'd hate to be left behind. Do you ever get blown away?' Blastoise didn't understand birds. What was so great about being up in the sky? All the interesting things were down in the water.
God, they were talking and Bella was being helpful. "I'll go get the fountain so we can see what'll look best," Satu offered, plopping Blastoise on the counter before whirling and practically running back out to the car. Anything to get away from that annoying skin-crawling feeling that was inspired by Bella's sheer presence. She took her time getting the fountain too, and by the time she got back there was something being said about a flower that sounded an awful lot like her mother's name. "I like the way those sound, you should get some of those mom. Dagmar'd like them." Or she wouldn't. Satu didn't know and more importantly, Satu didn't actually care. She was busy thinking a thought through that dealt with her blood and what would happen if any of it got into Bella's system. Did demonic blood hurt angelic? "Oh, and here's the fountain." She set it up on the counter and wished there was water in it so that she could've dabbed her fingers in it.
