"You helped at all and that is enough," Linnea assured Bella, not even noticing how quickly Satu had stepped up next to her. Some of her children, all of them who were not named 'Leif' in fact, just liked to be close to her for some reason. She was never going to do anything even remotely similar to pushing them away just because she enjoyed a certain amount of privacy. If she needed that then there were always rivers and pools to vanish into for a little bit of time. Or entire days. It was a good thing that she had not brought Strike or else he may have taken this opportunity to point out that she did that far, far more than she ever wanted to admit. Like when Satu said things that she was never going to think about again. Just the brushing memory of unpleasant things was enough to make her reach out and touch her youngest's ponytail affectionately. Satu would never, ever say those things and mean them.
Oh. That was right, they had stopped here for a reason and that reason was not to see the person who had helped Dagmar, because Linnea had not even known that she was here. In fact she would have had no idea whatsoever of who she even was if Satu had not decided to tell her. See, she did behave just as a good daughter was supposed to and shared these important things with her. Glancing back to Bella, Linnea nodded in agreement with what her daughter had said. "Yes, we need some flowers. I don't suppose that you carry water lilies?" They seemed like they would be the most fitting thing to go with a water fountain. "Or perhaps star lilies, those are supposed to be very pretty. We are neither of us very familiar with flowers so you'll forgive our lack of knowledge on what is what."
