"Of course." Zaviar could not imagine what it would be like to be so attached to one single thing. Fire elementals would, of course, view fire as the most important element and it was obvious why they would. Just like it was obvious why water elementals preferred water. It was decidedly different from how he reacted to angelic-blooded people because they were his direct opposite. "It could be interesting." Which was as much a remark as Zaviar was going to make on that. He did not think that he ever wanted to meet Madeleine's grandfather if Lila would never cross him; Lila was bad enough. Elitist fire elementals were better than elitist vanilla humans, but Zaviar still did not measure all the way up if they thought fire was the only acceptable thing to be. Tales of babes being put into the oven to make sure they were acceptable came to mind then. Madeleine had agreed there was no need for that, but it was obviously a family tradition. As evidenced by the fact that her family did it. "It will happen. I've never known a politician to pass up an opportunity, especially not one that obvious." Zaviar was not sure if he could blame them either. Had he ever decided that a career in politics would be beneficial to him then he would have done much the same thing. Politics, though, that was not the way he ever wanted to take. "I'd rather not see a vampire army." They would be difficult to put down and, while obviously not human, they were still not supposed to be at the top of the foodchain. 'Technically?' No. Zaviar shrugged at Madeleine's opinion on Marius, knowing it was that already. "I agree. But I feel that if I told him these things he would only want to do them more. It seems in-character." A character that, for all that it belonged to someone who had been partially responsible for him, Zaviar was not all that fond of.
Zaviar did not smile at what Althea was adding into Madeleine's statement because he did not need to. That and he doubted Madeleine would appreciate it. Knight did, though. 'His mind is as muddled as it gets when she's involved,' the dog shared with Althea alone, not wanting Zaviar to know he had said it. Zaviar reached for a pair of boxers that was not torn half to shreds, he hated sleeping in dirty and torn clothes, he changed and began to stretch before his muscles protested. With a slight wince he nodded and moved to the bed, choosing to lay on top of the blankets instead of under them. There was no chill in the air and Madeleine always provided enough heat even for his inner snake. "What I need," Zaviar said as he made a slight hooking motion with his hand, "is extra warmth."
