Zaviar saw that slight change in the way that Madeleine was standing and figured that it was due to what he had said. Had she not expected him to have lost track of time? Ah, of course, she must have thought that he had just not checked his voicemail or been missing for some other reason. Or she thought that I was dead. Well, that would be a good reason to be upset. Had it not been the reason that he had lost control of himself so very thoroughly? His mind had conjured up the idea that Madeleine had somehow been killed and that was why he could not find her and it had ended with him as a raging monster. Literally. "Yes." Now that Madeleine knew what had happened to him it seemed that she was not able to stand up with her anger quite so well. Which, if she had, Zaviar would have accepted because there was nothing he could do to change it and she had the right to feel as she wished. He had also learned a long time ago that forcing other people to change how they felt was rather impossible. If it was possible then they would all feel as he did most of the time. Surely it was much, much less confusing and draining.
"Had anyone else said they woke up on fire I would ask how they're not in the hospital." Zaviar actually did move to sit down, though he left more than enough room for Madeleine to do the same. He chose not to comment on her pacing, knowing that it would do no good. She was a fire elemental and he had noted on more than one occasion that it was better to let her burn off her excess energy, sometimes literally, than to try and insist that she rest. "I would actually like something to drink. Water would be nice." His throat was parched, but he had felt the need to ensure that Madeleine was at least somewhat well before he went and took care of his own various needs. That, he felt, should speak levels of it own. Contrary to what Knight thought he did not need to voice his concern. That he had been upset enough to shift just because he could not find Madeleine was admittance enough. "Then you can sit down and tell me what aches. If you have sprained anything it needs to be rested." She could not heal like he did.
Knight considered that. 'Three Madeleine's would be two Madeleine's too many. I think that the town would have burned to the ground by now and we'd all know what roasted necromancer smells like. Or they'd have gone to war on Lila.' Though Knight kind of liked Lila. She had let him sleep in the house that one night. That made her a good person.
