Lux always gave the best hugs and right now was no exception. Simon even lifted her off her feet a little as he hugged her back, ignoring the way his ribs hurt when he did so. Screw that, he needed the comfort of having a good friend around right now and if this helped, he was going to go for it. "I didn't mean to give you a heart attack, swear to god I didn't," he said as he pulled back. "And I'm - okay. A few bruised ribs and the hat hides the bandage they put on my head." He pointed to the beanie he wore, which was the only reason why his hair currently looked like it was under control at the moment. "I was lucky, all things considered."
While Lux went to the couch, Simon went over to the fridge and grabbed them both a beer. Priorities, Simon clearly had them. He collapsed next to her, popped one bottle open and handed it to her, then grabbed his own. "I talked to her for a while this morning, she's scared as hell," he admitted. "I'm so glad she wasn't there, you know, for obvious reasons, but I think her empath abilities are running on high, too. It's a lot for her to handle." He took a long swig of his beer. "Jolene's pissed, but you know. It's Jolene. Bitch is always angry about something. It's not helping Tabby any."
