Silvia knew that she was safe here. She knew that this was a safe place and that Nikita wouldn't ever let anything happen to her. She was a vampire and she was tough like that. Silvia believed that Nikita would keep her safe from all the things that could happen. Only could she keep her safe from things like what had happened in Ann Arbor? She hadn't known it was going to happen. No one had known that it was going to happen. People couldn't be kept safe from that sort of thing. No one had known the demons were coming either, and that'd been how her parents had died. Silvia could've died then too. Every time that she could've died no one had known that it was coming so no one could keep her safe. What was the point of having someone to take care of her if they couldn't really help keep her safe? Because what, no one can? I'm not even tough enough to take care of myself. I'm a freaking cat. "My parents were killed, Nikita," Silvia pointed out. "You really think I'm not going to know a whole lot about death? I was there." Just because she was a kid didn't mean that she was stupid. She knew that Nikita was a vampire too, and what vampires lived off.
Yeah, supposed to be. So much fun that Nikita had even put off her busy schedule to come. Only no, she hadn't, and Silvia knew that. That was why she'd been sent with Annie instead. Silvia was really glad that Nikita had adopted her and kept her out of the foster system and that she'd been able to stay in Scarlet Oak, but wasn't she supposed to be a first priority? Instead she got the baby-sitter who was really a secretary. Not even a real baby-sitter. "Yeah, well they're stupid. They're the ones who shouldn't exist." Child's words spoken in anger and because she was scared of whether or not it'd happen again. Still, she wrapped her arms around Nikita's cold neck when she lifted her and pressed her face into her neck. Just because she was scared and angry didn't mean that she wasn't glad to be held. "I'm not hungry. I think I'd just throw it back up so I probably shouldn't eat." She pulled her head back. "Are you just going to leave me in my room?"
