For something that Zaviar and Madeleine had chosen to go to of their own free will -- at least it had been Zaviar's, Antonin hadn't gotten close enough to his cousin to figure out whether she'd really wanted to or just had because Zaviar wanted to -- the march hadn't been that great. Antonin had thought he'd just go to check everything out and see what it was like, and he'd ended up staying because of all the thoughts running through these people's minds. From the paranoid who were half-afraid to be there because it'd label them as different when they hadn't said they were yet to the far-too-optimistic who thought that this would change everything. Hadn't they ever studied their own history? One march or peace rally never changed everything. Just like one battle never really changed the tide of the war. It just marked the event and history made it seem that way. Antonin hated when people acted like one event was the big deal. Unless that one event was being born or getting changed into something else he was just going to roll his eyes and ignore them.
He'd ducked into a side-shop to escape the crowds and grab a coffee when the explosions happened. By the time he'd gotten back outside the entire street had changed. Bodies, bits of concrete, ruined cars -- it looked like a bona-fide disaster area. Too bad he didn't have a migraine coming or he'd have all the bodies out there to practice on that he could need. That Zaviar or Madeleine had been hurt didn't register in his mind because of course they hadn't been. Zaviar couldn't be hurt and in an explosion it was most likely that Madeleine wouldn't be because she was Madeleine. Other people? Didn't count. Unless he was going to go ahead and use them as practice. That was a pretty likely looking corpse right there. And that was when he realized that his phone was going off. Reaching into his pocket he pulled it out to find that it was the station. Go figure. Eh, he might as well take it since he was sorta right there and if anyone showed up and saw him in perfect health they'd likely go tattling.
Which was why he was to be found "helping" people. Really he was just sorta kicking at things and pulling people to their feet or helping when he was shouted at, nothing more. He was more concerned when he saw the paramedics and doctors start showing up. Was Circe there? His phone came out again, but this time it was so that he could make a call to Circe. When the familiar click came he asked, "Did you come to the sight?"
