In his opinion, Troy hadn't had a crippled dating life. He'd just been a bit stuck on the idea of hurting someone, and then he realized he didn't want to waste his time on someone that he wasn't absolutely crazy about. That had left his options pretty limited, seeing as he mostly ending up becoming friends with the girls he had dated. He was quite comfortable in the friend zone. Except of course when it came to the woman next to him. And when it came to affection and attention, Troy would be more than willing to shower Lux with it, if she enjoyed it. He was affectionate by nature, so it worked out for him.
Whatever the reason, the way Lux bit her lip was sexy, even if it was probably at Troy's expense. And the smirk that transformed her face was even sexier. 'Baser instincts' was the thought that really struck him and he was just absorbing that idea when Lux's eyebrows lifted before he face lit up with a happy smile. The way she said that had him pretty excited and he couldn't wait. Or, well, maybe he could. Though, all the beautiful expressions that Lux had had on her face and lips drew his eyes down to her mouth and he went with that stirring feeling. Giving her a smile that didn't quite match her statement about him being 'innocent', Troy pulled Lux against him and claimed her lips. His hands on her waist gripped her hard to his body, and his mouth on hers was insistent in a way that he hadn't been before. He drew out the kiss, parting his lips to taste the smooth, warm feel of her mouth. He dug his fingertips into her sides, his touch firm but not painful. He was breathless and excited as he pulled away, his eyes sparkling with a sly light that seemed foreign in his face. "Like that?" He gave a low chuckle, wondering if he crossed some invisible line already. He hoped not.
Troy's frown deepened when Lux sighed. "Figures." Even a nervous Lux was endearing, and Troy felt again how much he was a goner, now moreso than ever. "That sounds reasonable, I guess." It would make sense to wait for the authorities to release a statement and guidance for how to proceed, but it still left a lot of time in between. It was hours until the evening news would air, and who even knew if it would run on schedule? "I really do believe that." Simon had to be alright. Really, there wasn't any other option. Troy had no idea what he would do if he wasn't. Which was nothing to compare with what Tabitha would do without her dad. His downward train of through was brought to a screeching halt at Lux's question. He blamed her complimenting him, and their conversation for his next words, he really did. "Do you want my tame ideas? Or the wild ones?" Oh, yes. There were plurals of both sets of ideas. So far, Lux's corruption seemed like it was right on track, seeing as the look on his face was probably not one anyone had ever seen before.
