Just seeing Lux smiling like that was something that Troy could definitely get used to. That he had anything to do with her being happy was exactly what he had always wanted. Sure, they'd always been close, but it was another thing altogether for him to put himself out there and for Lux to not reject him. It was a heady feeling and Troy just smiled back, enjoying the moment for all it was worth. "I'm glad." Words pretty much failed at being able to capture just how glad, but he was sure she understood. The arm he had wrapped around her shoulder squeezed her gently, so glad to be able to hold her close. The eye roll and the words that followed made him duck his head, a shy laugh coming out of his mouth. "Sure I have. I know I'm fit...I just didn't think much past that." Her offer to 'count the ways' made him smile. "You can if you want, but I don't think it would be good for anyone if I developed a big ego." No, an arrogant Troy was not something anyone needed in their life. He wasn't even sure he knew how to be that way. Confident? Yes, in certain situations. But over-confident? Never.
The way Lux nuzzled against him drew a soft sound of appreciation from Troy as the hand that had cupped her cheek moved to her hair. He really hadn't anticipated just how soft the texture was and he was definitely a little mesmerized. "Well, we could at least try to finish the movie? Unless its a lost cause." Troy could honestly not remember much of the plot, seeing as he'd been more focused on Lux. Smoothing his fingertips through Lux's hair gently, Troy nodded. "Me too." He wasn't at all sure how he knew, seeing as he was no psychic, but he had a feeling that Simon was alright. Or, at least he had a feeling that he would know if their friend had gotten badly hurt. Wouldn't he? Would his element be able to tell him if he'd gotten buried? He had no idea. "If we don't hear anything concrete when we call the hospital, maybe we could try contacting his ex-wife? She might know something." It was better than nothing, right? Even though Troy was sure he would not willingly talk to Jolene for any other reason.
