To be honest, Troy didn't know what to think about this. But then, it had been his idea to bring flowers, and to tell Lux how he felt, finally, so really, it was his own fault for expecting anything more than what had happened. He knew this could be considered awkward, seeing as they had known each other for years. "Okay." That was comforting, at least. It was understandable that seeing Troy as more than a good friend would be a transition that couldn't just happen over one afternoon. And Troy could be patient, especially if it meant making Lux happy. "One day at a time, then. I'd like that." Really, it was more than Troy had hoped for, and he would have to try to realize that this was worlds better than the alternative. But that next thing that Lux said took Troy aback a little bit. "Really?" He smiled, happy that it hadn't just been meaningless teasing, all these years. "Guess I should have found the courage to say something earlier, then." He leaned in again, slowly, pressing a kiss to the corner of her mouth. If Lux caught on to his little scheme, she'd be able to anticipate where the next kiss might land.
Oh, no. Troy hadn't meant to insult her. "I meant no offense, I just...Well I didn't know if you'd want me to be affectionate with you." Troy's eyebrows went back up close to his hairline. "Sexy?" The note of incredulity in his voice was not forced. She thinks I'm sexy? The look of surprise on his face melted into a look of happiness. "I like your kisses." As if he needed to say it for Lux to figure that out. And maybe he did! That Lux was able to laugh a little bit was all the reassurance Troy needed that this had been the right thing to do. An answering laugh shook him slightly as he nodded. "I'd be alright if this morning hadn't happened. But the afternoon has definitely helped." His free hand went up to cradle the side of Lux's face as he moved in to kiss her, his lips lingering against hers. Now, if they could hear word about Simon and if he was alright, this day would be much better. "Think its too soon to call about Simon, still?"
