It had been something akin to a living hell watching Lux struggle through relationships, but Troy couldn't even let that bother him now. The past was done. And right now, Troy just wanted to bask in how nice it was to be present in the moment with Lux tucked in against him. As for himself, Lux had nothing to worry about, seeing as Troy had no past relationships beyond his horrid attempts at flirting or being friendly with other women. But really, he'd only ever wanted the woman in his arms, and he'd only tried to date other women since she didn't have a clue how he felt. Which wasn't her fault at all, seeing as she hadn't realized it and Troy hadn't been good with expressing it. That she had kissed him first was wonderful, and Troy would not change the way things had happened for anything. Which if he thought about it, it was one of the most selfish thoughts he'd ever had. But he figured that it would be okay to just stay in the moment. Holding her wasn't hurting anyone, and he had a feeling that Lux felt a lot better than she had before. If she wasn't she would have said something. Wouldn't she? The thought flickered around in his head for a while before he couldn't bear to think of it any longer without an answer. The way she laughed when he kissed her face was disarming, though, so Troy momentarily forgot any worries he might have, Simon included. Lux seemed to be enjoying herself, so Troy could hope that she would at least give him a chance. As close as she was holding him, Troy couldn't help but feel the way that Lux's body trembled slightly against him. Before he could stop the feeling, a shudder went through him, too, and he couldn't help but feel indescribably wonderful. When Lux pulled back from the kiss and tucked her face against his neck, Troy's hand went to her hair, stroking the soft texture. He held her, not wanting to say anything, in case it would break the moment. He leaned his cheek against her head, cradling her close. He was sure that she'd be able to feel the way the pulse pounded in his throat, and he could feel a bit of warmth coloring his cheeks. Hopefully Lux wouldn't mind; he couldn't help himself even if she did.
