Did Troy find it odd that the simple question about the flowers was ignored? Maybe, but Lux was a lot different since her attack, so he ignored that, as well. No good in pushing something that was so trivial. "If nothing else, it'll be distracting." Which would be much better than sitting here, dwelling on the day's events. Even Troy knew when not to meditate on ideas that were too much to deal with at a time. Unlike a lot of his friends, the only extra senses he got in being an earth elemental were the ones you couldn't measure, and beyond that he was just built a little bit sturdier and stronger than most regular humans. Troy didn't notice much about Lux's actions past the fact that she seemed to relax slightly in his arms before things turned towards the awkward side. The reality of the situation hit him again and he really did feel lucky to only have sustained the minor cuts on his face and arms from protecting Tessa bodily from the blasts. He had a feeling that Simon would be alright, and if he wasn't completely unscathed, he would be in good hands by now. There were still teams out there working, right? That Lux had needed to leave made sense, if she had had such a hard time with the sights.
"Sounds about right. I think any higher thinking right now might be too much." Settling in to enjoy the movie, Troy found himself thinking of Simon, too. Little by little, Lux started to tap her feet and her fingers in a rhythm that spoke volumes for how anxious she must feel. Looking over, Troy touched the top of Lux's hand where her fingers tapped the remote. "You alright? We don't have to watch this if its not helping." He wasn't sure if Lux was thinking about Simon, but he sure was. And even he couldn't keep the worry out of his voice or his face. Troy found himself at a loss for whatever else he might say, unsure of how to help.
