The fact that her smile widened at the admission that yes, the flowers were for her was not lost to Troy. Thrilled that he'd been able to cheer her up even a fraction more, he practically beamed. That is, until she craned her head back and made a face. "Too strong?" He couldn't help it, her face earned her a small chuckle. "You're welcome." When she moved away to the kitchen, Troy moved a little bit more out of the threshold, but not enough to be close enough to sit down. Or...be less awkward. "I haven't, but I'd heard it was good, too. James Franco and Seth Rogen, I believe, so it should be good." At least every movie he'd seen with the latter was good. 40 Year Old Virgin was one such that gave him hope. Seeing Lux using her blender for a vase made Troy make a mental note about possibly getting her an actual flower arrangement, the fancy kind that came with a container. Though, he preferred to choose things from his own garden. Decisions, decisions. Either way, he was already thinking of more things to do in his tentative--but hopeful?--quest to let Lux know how he felt.
"Right. Anything mind-numbing would be great." When Troy watched Lux hesitate, he felt a momentary flush of embarrassment. Which was quickly turned into some strange mixture of happiness and excitement once she finally hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her carefully, giving her just enough of a squeeze so it was a bone fide Troy Rogers embrace. He savored the moment, glad that she hadn't left him hanging, looking like a fool. That she lingered in his arms was a pleasant surprise and Troy just held her, rubbing her back a little bit with one hand. He had definitely needed this and he took a deep breath, letting some of the tension go on the exhale. The small movement it took for Lux to lean back and look up into his face drew his attention and their eyes met. Her fingertips on his face were warm and he found himself at a loss for words, for actions, hell, for anything that he was supposed to be doing. He settled for a wry smile and a nod. "Well, it's a whole lot better than most." The corner of his mouth quirked as their gazes held. It was almost a relief when Lux stepped away, seeing as Troy had no idea what he was doing. "I'm fine for now, though I might get some water in a bit." Following her over to the couch, he took a seat close to her, hoping the movie would be able to distract him enough to not be awkward again. Though, it would only be a matter of time; Troy was just gifted like that.
"Is this the first one you've watched today?" Because if there was any sort of marathon going on, Troy would not mind in the least.
