Lux had become a bit of a loner since the attack, but today she really did not want to be alone. Anything to distract her from the images that kept assaulting her mind. As if having flashbacks and nightmares about the attack wasn't enough, she had to have seen the chaos and slaughter at Ann Arbor. And then, Simon's phone wasn't working. Having Troy over was the best thing next to filling herself up with chemicals to forget. He had always been the sweetest guy, and really good at cheering people up. He cared, and even if Lux didn't want to admit it, she needed someone who cared right now.
She had spent a huge amount of time showering, trying to get ash and smoke and blood off of her body and looking presentable. She had cried in the shower, too, but under these circumstances Lux really needed a good cry. Clean clothes were the next step. Then, she went to sit on her couch perusing the available comedies that she hadn't already watched. Lux looked up when she heard the knock. She had been expected the bell to ring and her having to buzz Troy in, but apparently the building door had been open.
Lux opened the door to see Troy standing there, bouquet of daisies in hand and a sweet smile on his face. Lux gave him a faint smile and stepped aside to let him in. "Those for me?" She pointed at the flowers. She wasn't really a flower type but if they were for her the gesture was a really sweet one. And the flowers were pretty, too. "You know the layout, make yourself at home." She motioned for the living room.
