& the bridge came tumbling down
Who: Raven and Oz
Where: Somewhere along the river
When: Post 11:37 a.m.
Where are my clothes?
That was, oddly enough, one of the most prominent thoughts on Oz's mind. He probably should have been thinking about how there had been unmoving bodies around him or that he had been on the bridge only then he was in the river, yet he was actually far more worried about the fact that he was not wearing any clothes. Clothes were sort of - oh. Oh that was right. Otters did not need to wear clothes and he had shifted himself into an otter the minute that water had closed over his head. Why that had been his first instinct instead of just swimming to the surface and then to the shore he was not sure, but it had been. Now he was pulling himself out of the water onto a partially submerged log, craning his head around to lick at a deep cut on his back. He half-remembered a searing pain when he had been launched off the bridge and it seemed that the wound was not superficial enough to just heal with one shift. He could have shifted back and forth a few times to help it along but for one, he was feeling really drained and for two, there were still other people around and he was not up to showing off every last part of himself to those of them who were capable of looking.
Who had he been with when he fell? Oz paused mid-lick to try and remember which of his siblings had been around. Not Otter, the kid had decided to come along with the Diaz girl. Delsin had been left at home, Joe Jr. was working, Raven... Raven had been somewhere around him. And Liseli. Oz lifted his head and let out a few inquiring chirps to see if any of them had done the same thing as him. If not then it looked like he was going to need to shift back and go looking for them. Although that problem of clothes was still pretty prominent. It was way, way easier to focus on his clothes being gone because he had shifted on instinct rather than on what had happened. If he started thinking about that then he was not so sure that he would have been able to focus on anything else. And it was sort of important that he figure out where his sisters were. Then probably Otter. Hopefully Otter was not in the river, that boy had never been the best swimmer.
