A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... (flyonby) wrote in light_of_may,
The girl was babbling about the chaos theory and adrenaline, and Regina gave her a half-smile and brushed a strand of hair off the girl's face. Her forehead was freezing, though, very uncommon in a temperature like this. "Yeah, something like that." Regina briefly wondered if adrenaline coupled with her own strength would make her even stronger. That might come in handy at this point. Stepping back a little, Regina assessed the whole situation before doing anything else. She was too short to simply pull the girl off the pole, and it was probably stuck under piles of debris and pulling the whole pole from its position would probably take too long and put too much strain on her.
"No no don't do tha-" But she was pulling herself higher to look at her own state, which had to at least hurt, if not damage her further. Ohhh so that's what that is. Regina had been able to recognize the girl as angelic blooded but she knew she had been missing something else. So she was a vampire. Maybe things wouldn't look so bad after all. "Oh, okay." Regina sighed in relief, smiling. "Things might be easier for you that way then. And no problem, I couldn't just let you hang there until the firefighters came with all their big tools and whatever else." An idea had formed in her mind in the meantime, and Regina took off her cardigan which was in shambles anyway at this point. "Okay I'm stripping a little bit, don't worry, there's a reason for it." She liked to wear halter-neck tops and dresses in the summer in case she needed her wings, and wouldn't you know it, today she did. It was evident she would need to fly to pull the girl off the pole, and so Regina let her wings unfold, pink cotton candy all over the place.
Soon, she was flying, which took a bit of the pain off of her - because she was no longer standing on that twisted ankle. Regina flew up to the top of the pole to look at things from another perspective. "I think I'd better push you instead of pulling." She dropped back down only on one foot and started carefully pushing the vampire girl upwards. "I'm so sorry, I know this is probably hurting." When she was finally off the pole Regina grabbed her tight so she wouldn't fall and dropped back down slowly, carefully laying her on the least dirty and full bit of ground she could find.
"Okay, at least you're off the pole." But she was bleeding quite a bit, Regina noticed as she redid the straps of her dress. "And seeing as you've seen my secret - and you're kind of the first person I've sort of stripped for in many years - I think we should know each other's names. I'm Regina." She smiled at the girl. "And I have no idea what to do now. I have no idea if I can heal you or not, I never tried it on vampires before..."
