Capri raised an eyebrow as she watched the other woman. Continuing to stand in the middle of the street was an indication that the woman was either unintelligent, irrational or she had a reason not to be concerned. She didn't appear to be lacking any mental capacity. Maybe she knew there wouldn't be much traffic at that time of night. Capri wasn't enough a night owl herself to take the chance, and she remained on the side of the road. She adjusted the position of her arm self-consciously when the woman mentioned not being chilly and frowned as she thought over her situation. Perhaps she could have prevented it, but not with a leash. Leashes were for animals and people bored enough with their sex lives to need to spice things up. Capri did not belong in either category. Who would suggest a leash as a safety measure anyway? Perhaps it was the children that God did not want to burden with a mother like that.
Capri knew that when she returned home, her frantic parents would probably insist on a stronger locks on the doors; ones that she couldn't open in her sleep. And a very loud alarm system. "My parents and I will find something more practical than a leash to invest in." Capri mentioned, A tone of sarcasm had made its way on into her tone of voice. She had switched from feeling gratitude towards the stranger, to feeling nervous of her. Something about the other woman, - the smirk or her words...Capri wasn't sure what it was specifically, but something felt off to her. And sarcasm was one of Capri's favourite defence mechanisms. "I don't want to get hit by a car, eaten by a snake or crushed but I don't want to strangle myself in my sleep either. A blue corpse would clash with a coffin." She added, with a roll of her eyes.
