Meet me on your best behavior
Who: Tessa and Troy
Where: Anywhere But Here
When: late evening, around 10pm
Moriko was always telling Troy how much he needed to get out of the house, and he had always found reasons to dodge the topic and talk about something else. Granted, it wasn't exactly the smartest thing to ignore the insistence of a wolverine, specifically one that could communicate telepathically. And especially not one that was on speaking terms with his sister. Nope, of course the moment that Tessa had learned that Troy had been continuously evading the idea that his life did not revolve around spending all his time at his dojo, she had insisted they go out. And of course as much as he had attempted to skirt around the plan, it would be pointless in trying to get in the way of anything that Tessa wanted to do, no matter how stubborn Troy could be. So, that brought them out into the night, much farther away from his home than he'd been in far, far too long. He'd gotten out of his car once they'd parked and stood there, jingling his keys and eying all the people standing around by the entrance. Smoking. Sure, he was far enough away from it that it didn't bother him at the moment, but he was visibly dreading getting anywhere near the stuff.
"Do we have to do this?" The thread of whine in his voice was not something that he was exactly proud of, but it was really all to do with the veritable wall of cigarette smoke that was between him and the bar. Troy was anything but what he was feeling right now, and that was unsure. He was used to his routine, and this was far outside the line of normalcy he was used to. Others might think him odd, but he liked his life, and he didn't really see the need to change. "They don't smoke inside, too, do you think?" That was stupid, seeing as there were plenty of people outside smoking that it made no sense for it to be allowed inside as well. "No, don't answer that, I realized just how stupid that sounded." Looking to Tessa, Troy took a deep breath, as if to prepare himself for whatever way it was he was going to get past the smoke gauntlet. See, this was why he and bars just did not mix. "Any ideas?"
