The more I see the less I lie Who: Darklis and Liliya Where: Outside of SOHS, around town When: After school
Maureen had made it abundantly clear that Liliya had things that she had to do - and they all seemed to center around the upset that had been caused by the newest addition to Scarlet Oak High School. High School. Liliya had believed that she was done with any and all concerns that would ever arise about that place. Her own tenure had not been so terribly bad as some seemed to make theirs out to be, but she had not necessarily enjoyed it. College had been better. One of the best parts about being undead was that she was not going to ever have to go through the headache of putting her own children through the place so she would never be required to go to school recitals or concerts or PTA meetings. She should not have even needed to look at the place. It was ugly. School buildings were always ugly for some reason. And she had been staring at this particular one for upwards of twenty minutes as she waited for the teenagers that were inside to come pouring out because school was over. She was sitting behind the wheel of her car out in front along with at least a dozen other vehicles, all of which she suspected contained parents of these children. Thank god her windows were tinted so none of them could see her. According to statistics at least a quarter, or half, of them would hate her because of what she was while another percentage would dislike her because of what views she represented and then there were the ones who would think she had something to do with this vampire girl - Darklis Tinka, blonde with blue eyes. - and want her cold blood for it... Liliya flicked her sunglasses up on top of her head when she saw the doors fly open before students began trickling, and then practically pouring, out.
With a sigh, she put her sunglasses back down, slid her Blackberry back into her pocket and stepped out of the car. The heat of the day did not affect her, but the sun made her skin give a brief tingle. Thankfully she had thought to drink a bit of fae before leaving her office. Not enough to let her stay outside for long, but enough so that she would be able to find the vampire girl among the others before getting back in the car. Since she did not know exactly what she looked like, it was the scent that she was waiting for. A scent attached to a blonde... Ahhhh, there it was. If it smells like a vampire and has skin that pale then it's a... oh my good god really now? Liliya made a quiet, but vexed, noise when Darklis Tinka came closer. She was older than her! By a fair bit too. Looked like a seventeen-year-old and felt like she was nearly two centuries old. Fantastic. I don't want to do this. It was one thing to tell a teenager that they were going to have a chat and a completely different one to tell someone older than her that it was going to happen. Maureen would not have accepted 'she's too old for this' as a good excuse though, and Liliya just wanted to get her sire off her case.
Stepping up onto the sidewalk, Liliya placed herself in the way of this other vampire and gave an all-too bright smile that caused a few nearby students to skitter away quickly when they saw the gleam of fangs. There was no reason that she had to show that she was feeling nervous about this; emotions were all too easy to tuck away. "I believe that your name is Darklis Tinka." She extended her hand. "Liliya Kennedy is mine and I believe that we have an appointment for a little getting to know each banter. Sorry for not sending you an email or calling, but my assistant couldn't find the right information. So I came to pick you up just to make sure you didn't forget that you needed to say hello." Because it was that much easier than just stalking her to wherever it was that she lived. Likely more socially acceptable too. I don't have to tell her there's nothing to worry about or that I'm not going to hurt her. If she wanted to then she'd be the one tying me into a knot and I'd be left trying to explain to Maureen how a high school student managed that. Liliya hated being so much younger than everyone else.
