When Krist stopped his explorations and watched him, Tayne started to limp very slowly around him, one hand always on his back or haunch, inspecting the scars and the brand. "This must've been a long time ago... if you're so friendly now, must've had some kind of gentler care since." He was mostly talking to himself, to hear his thoughts aloud, more than to the stallion himself. "Wonder if somebody's missing you. I sure would, if you were mine, and this gentle."
Coming back up to Krist's neck, patting his shoulder once he got there, he added a little sadly, "Maybe I had better call you in, fella. Somebody can come pick you up, and take you someplace safer." He pushed the truck door further open and reached in for his cell phone.
