I can hear ticking clocks running rampant in me Who: Clive and Regina Where: Clive's house When: Evening
With everything going on in town, Clive was more than ready to have a break of his own. It wasn't so much that he didn't like his job or the stress that went with it, far from it. But between the uproar over a vampire attending high school to the murder in town - of one of his former students, no less - Clive was looking for a reason not to think so much about everything anymore. Though he'd taken out a good bit of his pent up frustrations on his punching bag, it wasn't enough. He needed Regina.
And now, he could actually call her and see if she wanted to do something. That thought did make him all sorts of warm and fuzzy, even if she'd be the only one who actually knew it. Clive wasn't stupid; it wasn't like they could start over where they'd been when she'd left, all those years ago. What Clive did know was that he didn't want to be with anyone else and they could take as much time as they needed. There was Chuck to think about too, and Clive had yet to tell his son all that was going on. Chuck knew his dad was happy, and a happy Clive was better than an angry one, or when he was just going through the motions. They'd get to that too when they were ready, and he didn't think that was a conversation to have without Regina by his side.
Dinner was simple - pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans. Maybe Regina would even make something yummy for dessert. Clive wasn't a baker, but he'd help her just the same, knowing how much she loved it. Some things never changed. Now, he was just waiting for Regina to get here.
