Nikita didn't like that Missy pointed out the fact that the dress had caught her attention not once but twice anymore than she liked the idea that there were other people whose eyes had been drawn to the other woman for the same reason. She cursed herself at the thought. Missy wasn't hers and she told herself she didn't want her to be. The fact that Missy was even wearing the dress, in such a flippant manner no less, made Nikita feel as though she were rubbing the phone conversation from the previous night in her face. It couldn't have been coincidence that the hunter would have chosen to wear that dress, paired with that jewelry. Nikita had lived long enough to know that such coincidences were highly unlikely. Her eyes narrowed at the thought that Missy was playing games with her. "I suppose giving it away to a friend would be too much effort as well?" Nikita's stomach tightened at the words from the other night. In an instant her anger had made her decide to change her mind about avoiding the subject. Missy may have had a few things to torment Nikita with, but she was not without her own fair share.
The laugh the rolled out of her mouth was forced, as though she were playing a part in some twisted play. Truth be told, Nikita was tired of this game of barbs being thrown at one another. Where days earlier she would have considered it a great past time to see what horrible things she could think of to say to other woman, it felt like an empty lie now. Sure, she was still furious with Missy and would be damned before she dared to play nice with her, but the reasons were different now. Would you really have forgiven her if she had been honest about her feelings before? No. Nikita didn't have to think long on that answer. “Take from you? Why do you think I want anything you have to offer?” She took a step toward Missy, crossing her arms at her chest. The action tugged at the fabric of her dress and attracted more attention to her figure beneath it; Nikita was too angry to notice, not that she would have cared if she had. "And your girlfriend is nothing of interest to me. She might as well be an annoying fly that I would love to swat." She remembered where her threats on Jadyn had gotten her last time. Missy was surprisingly quick to anger when the subject of the other woman was brought into the conversation. It didn't bother Nikita; it didn't.
