Elena had to admit that she had been a little reticent to attend a party at a hotel that catered to the supernatural; after all, there were only so many reasons why she should attend. And it wasn't in her to pretend she was on the other side of the fence. It wasn't as if she wasn't proud of her House, she just was very set in not being out in the open. Chalk it up to just how old she was, and that fact that she had been an Ophanim for quite some time, and you got one paranoid Gabriel. Even here, there were certain people that she had had to avoid because of their magics, and she knew if she weren't careful, anyone who paid attention would be able to figure out just what she was. All she really had to do was smile, and get close enough to someone so that they would see she wasn't wearing any jewelry made of silver or gold.
Shaking her head a little to stop herself from over-thinking the entire night, Elena made her way over to the bar, wondering if they really did have a selection of blood for the vampiric guests. Pleasantly surprised, she was about to order when she noticed a rather beautiful blonde walking in the same direction. She stalled her order, turning to smile and take in the full sight of the woman's attire. "Great shoes," she murmured once the blonde got closer. Scenting delicately, Elena's eyebrow quirked as she noted that the woman smelled human. Intoxicated human, but still. She would have to gauge whether or not she could truly smile without frightening such a beauty away. "Some party, yes?" Elena did nothing to hide the accent in her voice, hoping it might be interesting enough to get the woman talking. Not that she's on the menu... No, hunting tonight was out of the question. Getting better acquainted with the locals so as to make for an easy target later? Why, yes please.
